The Parent-Child-Room for learning, playing and relaxing.

Studying while with child is a particular challenge. Thus, the ÖH Family Room offers the opportunity to retreat and enjoy special moments between you and your child. The parent-child-room is located in a calm side alley on the backside of the mensa building. Here you can find anything that you’ll need to harmoniously combine your studies and family life.

The ÖH Family Room – a place for your needs.The partent-child-room has been designed with a lot of love to facilitate daily life on campus with a child. You can expect:

  • A cosy crib for restful sleep.
  • A sofa for relaxed cuddling breaks.
  • Two PC-workstations, from which you can always keep an eye on your young.
  • Many toys and children’s books that offer both fun and learning opportunities.
  • Practical equipment like a kettle, changing table, changing supplies, a washing maschine, a dryer and toilets.

The ÖH Family Room is the ideal space to play and learn and allows you to continue your studies while also experiencing precious moments with your child.

This is how you can book the ÖH Family Room: quick and easy.

  1. Book a slot: Choose your prefered time slot in the calendar. Please do so at least 24 hours prior during teaching days and at least 48 hours prior during times where no teaching takes place at university. You will receive a confirmation via mail.
  2. Getting the key: Get the key during the opening hours of the ÖH Service Center and sign the terms of use for your first visit. During times when no teaching takes place at university, you will receive the key from the concierge – only if you’ve previously signed the terms of use at the ÖH Service Center.
  3. Enjoying family time: Use the ÖH Family Room to your heart’s desire.
  4. Bringing back the key: Please leave the parent-child-room in a clean manner and make sure to lock it. During teaching time, you can give back the key at the ÖH Service Center or a the concierge’s office. During time where no teaching takes place, please immediately bring back the key to the concierge’s office.
