Master programme
Do you love computer games and want to learn more about their technology, design and significance? Then this interdisciplinary master’s programme is just right for you.
The master’s programme in Game Studies and Engineering combines computer science with cultural studies: you will learn how games are developed, technically implemented and critically analysed. You will deal with topics such as game design, storytelling, game mechanics, ethics and the cultural role of games.
The programme is aimed at all computer scientists and humanities scholars who not only consume games, but also want to actively design, think through and question them. As part of a practical project (10 ECTS), you will gain experience in industry or research. With English as the language of instruction and international collaborations, you will be well prepared for the global gaming industry.
With your degree (MSc or MA), you will be ideally qualified for jobs in the gaming industry, the media or the advertising industry. Your advantage: you combine technical know-how with critical thinking.
